premium marketplace
Privacy Policy
Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains, in plain language, what information we collect and how we use it.
Last updated: July 14, 2026
premium marketplace (“we”, “us”, or “the platform”) operates a marketplace where people buy and sell social media accounts. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle the personal information you share with us when you create an account, list an item, or make a purchase.
By using the website, you agree to the practices described here. If you disagree with any part of this policy, please do not use our services.
1. Information we collect
To provide a working marketplace, we need to collect certain information. We keep this to the minimum required to run the platform safely.
Information you provide directly
- Account details — your name, email address, and a password (stored as a one-way hash). We never see your password in plain text.
- Profile information — display name, avatar, and a short bio you choose to add.
- Listing information — details about the accounts you list for sale, including platform, category, price, and description.
- Payout details — when you withdraw earnings, we collect the destination you specify (bank account, PayPal email, or crypto wallet address).
- Messages — the text of conversations you send to other users through our built-in chat. We review messages only when investigating a dispute or suspected abuse.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data — IP address, browser type, device information, and the pages you visit. This helps us keep the site secure and understand how features are used in aggregate.
- Cookies and local storage — we use these to keep you logged in, remember your theme preference, and store items in your wishlist.
2. How we use your information
We use the data we collect for the following purposes:
- To create and manage your account.
- To process listings, orders, deposits, withdrawals, and escrow transactions.
- To facilitate communication between buyers and sellers.
- To investigate disputes, fraud, and violations of our Terms of Service.
- To send you transactional emails (order updates, security alerts) and, if you opt in, occasional product announcements.
- To comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests from authorities.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We use them for three reasons:
- Essential cookies — required for login and core functionality. Without these, the site cannot operate.
- Preference cookies — remember choices like your theme (light or dark) and marketplace filters.
- Analytics — help us understand which features are popular so we can improve them. You can decline analytics cookies without affecting site functionality.
Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies, but doing so may limit parts of the site (for example, you may need to log in more often).
4. Advertising and third parties
We display ads through Google AdSense and potentially other advertising partners. These partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to our site and other sites on the internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s previous visits to our website or other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visit to our site and/or other sites on the internet.
We also rely on trusted service providers — such as payment processors, email delivery, and hosting — to operate the platform. These providers access only what is necessary to perform their function and are bound by their own privacy obligations.
5. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in these limited situations:
- With other users— sellers see the buyer’s username in an order; buyers see the seller’s public profile and listing details.
- With service providers — companies that help us run payments, email, and infrastructure, under strict contractual confidentiality.
- For legal reasons — when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or the public.
- Business transfers — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
6. Data security
We treat the security of your data seriously. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt (12 rounds) and never stored in plain text. Sessions use signed, httpOnly cookies. We enforce admin access checks on every privileged action and keep an audit log of sensitive operations.
No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, however. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work continuously to protect your information against unauthorised access.
7. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. Transaction records are typically retained for at least seven years to comply with financial regulations. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we are legally required to keep it longer.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights over your personal data:
- Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Correction — ask us to fix inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion — request that we erase your data (subject to legal exceptions).
- Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
- Objection — object to certain processing, such as direct marketing.
- Withdrawal of consent — withdraw consent for processing that relies on it.
To exercise any of these rights, email support@socialhub.market. We respond to verified requests within 30 days.
9. International transfers
Because our servers and service providers may be located in different countries, your information may be transferred across borders. By using the platform, you consent to such transfers, subject to the safeguards described in this policy.
10. Children’s privacy
The platform is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a minor has registered an account, please contact us and we will remove it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will provide a more prominent notice (such as an email or site banner). Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
Questions about your privacy? Email support@socialhub.market and we’ll get back to you.
